Roger Schwartz is a man of many talents. From 2005 to 2007, he was an on-air TV meteorologist in Omaha and Topeka before heading to Hollywood in 2008; since then, he has worked for Chockstone as development executive. In 2020, Roger received his Master of Arts in couples and family therapy and now works concurrently as a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in anxiety and trauma.
Roger heads up Chockstone’s book-to-film division and does early-stage creative work, treatment and script development, and material coverage alongside project writers. Roger also reviews pre-vetted submissions and creative work for uniqueness, cinematic potential and powerful story.
Roger is a co-producer on nearly a dozen Chockstone projects, including ALL THE OLD KNIVES, starring Chris Pine and Thandie Newton; KILLING THEM SOFTLY, starring Brad Pitt; and THE HOST, starring Saoirse Ronan.
A magna cum laude graduate of Kenyon College, Roger has two masters degrees–one in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University, the other in Couples and Family Therapy (CFT) from Alliant International University.
In 2009, he completed the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television’s Professional Program in Producing.
